Donald Trump just took back the documents he took from the White House in 2020, this is a violation of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution

In an unprecedented move, according to Donald Trump the DOJ ordered the return of the documents retrieved from Mar a Lago in 2022. Trump said, “They are being brought down to Florida and will someday be part of the Trump Presidential Library.” Steven Cheung, the White House Communications Director, said the boxes were loaded onto Air Force One. He told reporters that the boxes contain “personal items that belong to the president.” Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, told reporters that “These are President Trump’s things. These are his items, and they needed to be returned to him.”
The documents and other things retrieved by Federal agents were part of the Jack Smith documents case against Donald Trump, Walt Nauta and Carlos DeOliveira. The case charged Donald Trump with: Willful Retention of National Defense Information; Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice; Withholding a Document or Record; Corruptly Concealing a document or record; Concealing a Document in a Federal Investigation; Scheme to Conceal; False Statements and Representations; Altering, Destroying, Mutilating, or Concealing a Document, Record or other Object; Corruptly Altering, Destroying, Mutilating or Concealing a Document, Record, or Other Object.
